# The EPEP Story

EPEP was originally launched in May of 2025 as a Pepe derivative, with the narrative as a reverse Pepe. The meme was abandoned shortly thereafter, and in September 2025, a few entrepreneurial people in the space saw the potential of an abandoned meme with a "reversal" focus to launch a project focused on reversing the narrative in the Web3 space.

Originally led as a reworked meme with basic Telegram bot incorporation, Phase 1 of the EPEP story was built around the use of a Telegram bot to reverse text, images, and profile pictures. Fun and meme-friendly, this led the team to wonder, "Could tech built around a reversal narrative accomplish more?"

And so the creation of the true EPEP bot began. Phase 2 focused on the design of a dip and bounce feature, allowing verified holders to be alerted via direct message of significant dips and bounces for their own awareness and investment.

After this, work began on an autotrading feature, Phase 3 of the bot's design, to allow users to buy into sizable dips and sell at their desired take profit level on connected bounces.

Most recently, the EPEP team has worked on Phase 4, which added an arena feature, to allow users to challenge each other in dip and bounce predictions.

Where will EPEP go from here? Time, usage, and community involvement will tell! Join us to continue reversing the narrative!
